Azure Cloud Engineer

Position: Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: 2 Days remote/3 Days onsite in Arlington, VA

Clearance: Must have an active Secret

A little bit about the environment:

• Infrastructure has been on prem for the most part

• More and More ppl are going to the cloud: primary cloud is azure

• Some AWS is a plus but not required

• a little experience on prem is a plus but not required

• small contract about a dozen people total

• people on the program have learned cloud, but this person's main responsibility will be to provide Azure cloud expertise

• government leads (2) are both very compassionate and easy going and good to work with, but wants this resource onsite

• MOST IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE IS KNOWING HOW TO USE THE DEVOPS TOOLS (in production they cannot use the portal to deploy, needs to deploy through DevOps!)

How large is the environment? (how many users?)

Not entirely sure. It is an Academic campus so it flutuates. People take courses virtually and onsite, for a month so times longer, etc.

CERTS REQUIRED: Azure Fundamentals certification or better Azure Administrator Associate

***IDEALLY 3-5 years of engineering experience

*** needs at least 2 years of azure cloud engineering experience
