Schedule: Hybrid 3x on site, 2x WFH per week
Hourly Rate: 75-77/hr W2 (We can not work 1099/corp to corp/ 3rd parties)
We’re supporting a Fortune 50 financial services firm in their search for a Capacity Planning Engineer/Manager. This role would be hybrid in any of the locations listed below (in order of preference):
- Chicago, IL
- Atlanta, GA
- Richmond, VA
- Chandler, AZ
- Jacksonville, FL
Desired experience:
- Experience with capacity forecast models and methodologies (Application/ Technology Infrastructure)
- Understanding of hardware, distributed systems architecture and disaster recovery
- Experience with Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Cloud provider certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Architect)
- ITIL certification
- Understanding of Agile methodologies,
- Experience with Excel, Power BI, Splunk & BMC true sight
Job Description
- Candidate will participate in multiple projects and manage a BAU book of work (portfolio of applications to be supported)
- Candidate will be required to review technical project documentation in an effort to identify capacity impacts to the infrastructure
- Support the performance testing process by review of saturation test results and artifacts (e.g., AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, SAR/vmstat, application logs and Performance Center results) to measure and interpret capacity thresholds/limits.
- Exception reporting and escalation
Preferred Skills:
- 10 + years overall technology experience in large technology organizations/ enterprises
- 3-5 years of IT Capacity Management/ data analytics/ business intelligence
- Demonstrate knowledge of capacity planning methodologies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of mathematical/statistical and quantitative analytics
- Demonstrate knowledge of ITIL capacity management best practices & COBIT framework.
- The candidate will be expected to foster a culture of support and knowledge sharing.
