Field Service Engineer

We are currently hiring for Field Service Engineers in Oshkosh, WI. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years testing and evaluating low, medium and high voltage electrical power systems. Pay is $40,000 to $55,000 per year based on skillset and experience.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:

• Read and understand electrical one line drawings
• Perform testing and maintenance of power distribution systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot/test, repair and maintain low, medium and high voltage electrical distribution equipment such as transformers, switchgears, starters, circuit breakers, conductors, relays, etc.
• Perform system studies such as Short Circuit and Coordination, Arc Flash and Load Flow
• Operate infrared thermography camera to diagnose equipment
• Ensure electronic reports are completed promptly after project completion
• Field Service Engineer Qualifications:
• 3+ years field service environment experience
• 5+ years experience testing and evaluating various voltage electrical power systems
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to travel as needed (nationally)

Field Service Engineer Required Training:

• Strong understanding of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, NFPA70B and Industry Codes & Standards.
• NETA or NICET technician certification or equivalent (manufacturer or other technical training)
• Training in OSHA Electrical Safety and NFPA70E safety guidelines.
• Current knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, Electrical Classifications, IEEE/ANSI and other applicable design standards and guidelines

Salary:

$40,000 - $55,000 per year based on skillset and experience
