We are looking for a Plant IT Support Engineer to join a leading team in semiconductor manufacturing as part of Littelfuse, and contribute significantly to our IT operations. As an IT Support Engineer, your role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology infrastructure. You will bring your technical acumen, precise attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to a collaborative environment within a larger IT organization.


About the Job

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Perform regular updates and patches for security and efficiency.
  • Manage server and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with software developers and the IT team for troubleshooting and implementing solutions.
  • Enhance system functionality through continuous improvements.
  • Provide thorough support for remote users, focusing on VPN setup and maintenance.
  • Ensure secure and efficient remote access in line with company policies.
  • Enforce robust cybersecurity measures, including antivirus and malware defenses.
  • Maintain data integrity and confidentiality across all IT systems.
  • Stay current with emerging IT trends and technologies.
  • Participate in professional development initiatives.
  • Adapt to additional responsibilities as the company's needs evolve.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in IT support within a manufacturing setting.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
