PROCESS MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

We are currently seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer for our fast-paced manufacturing operations. This position is for the 1st shift, regularly scheduled Monday - Friday, and may require Saturday. There are immediate advancement opportunities for those with the desire, the initiative, and that perform above expectations.

Job Description

• Build, implement and improve process parameters and flow, to optimize the cost, quality, and production lead time.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and trainings.
• Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.
• Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that machine procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
• Participate in training and work instructions for operators.

Requirements

• Engineering degree and/or technical background equivalent
• 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing industry
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques such as quick changeover, failure proofing, visual management
• Experience in implementation of TPM and predictive maintenance is desirable.
• Experience in rubber mat manufacturing is an asset.
