job summary:

Permanent Position: Job opening for a Process Quality Engineer in Salem, VA for a leading manufacturer. This position will drive continuous quality improvement in a precision-machined product line. The Quality Engineer works with production managers, engineers, and production, utilizing data and feedback to prioritize and resolve quality issues.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of Process Engineering or Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment with the following skills:

• QMS
• ISO9001 and ATEX/IECEx
• SOP for manufacturing machined products
• PFMEA
• PPAP
• Control Plans
• Root Cause Analysis (8D, fishbone, 5 why, etc.)
• Internal and External Audits

• Develop and maintain quality standards for product development and manufacturing processes within a production area.
• Oversees all quality-related issues from supplier materials to final product inspections.
• Participates in design development projects, representing QA and the customer.
• Review suppliers and establish quality requirements
