The Audiovisual Systems Engineer designs, implements, and manages advanced audiovisual (AV) systems across the City of Olathe’s facilities. Collaborating with internal teams and leveraging external vendors, the Audiovisual Systems Engineer ensures seamless operation and optimal performance of all AV equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Designs and implements optimal AV solutions in collaboration with vendors; supervises installations; plans and tracks projects to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Programs and configures Q-SYS and Crestron control platforms for routing, interface programming, and audio dynamics.
- Directs the broadcast technology equipment utilized in City Council and Planning Commission meetings, including video switching, camera control, and live streaming.
- Manages and maintains AV equipment in conference rooms and multipurpose spaces; diagnoses and troubleshoots technical issues promptly to minimize the impact on internal customers.
- Administers digital signage systems throughout the City; works in partnership with the service desk team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance.
