Chemical Engineering Position

The position of Chemical Engineering Intern, located in Chicago Heights, IL, falls under the direct supervision of the VP Technology. The main responsibilities include supporting test center activities in process development, process improvements, operations, and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a hands-on, fast-paced environment for college students preparing for a career in Chemical Engineering.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support for pilot plant operations and laboratory experiments to test and verify equipment operating parameters.
• Assist with process validation tests in the lab or in the pilot plant by developing a test method, preparing equipment, recording data, and reporting results.
• Assist in the maintenance of existing equipment and development of new equipment.
• Work in a safe manner at all times in both the pilot plant and the laboratory.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited program with at least two years of post-secondary education.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
