Director of Technical Department

HelioRec® is a company that builds floating solar power plants for near-shore locations where half of the global population lives.

We are looking for a Director of Technical Department with Marine Engineering background to join the team.

Role Description:

The Director of Technical Department will be responsible for designing, constructing and maintaining floating solar power plants, including the mooring lines as well as inspecting and evaluating facilities and equipment.

The role may require some travel.

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Director of Technical Department that involves working both in-office (located in Paris) and remotely.

CDD contract for the first 6 months that can be changed to CDI.

Qualifications:

• Practical experience in the naval, marine industry (someone who has been successful in the construction of structures on the water, the most important skills for this job position).
• Work experience is at least 10 years.
• Knowledge of maintenance and repair in the marine industry.
• Proven knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with teams.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in marine engineering, naval architecture or related field.
• Knowledge of solar energy is a plus.
