Job Description INTEGRATION ENGINEER FOR FEOL, MOL, BEOL and 3DI/HI. Albany, NY

Not remote role, this role requires time at the on-site office.


Module integration engineer (MI engineer) for FEOL, MOL, BEOL and 3DI/HI development activities for logic device and memory devices. MI engineer is a key position in TEL Technology Center, America, LLC (TTCA) to drive semiconductor technology development activities related to pitch scaling, new materials and new device architectures. MI engineer will work closely with other process engineers for TEL process tools to verify an advantage of TEL new technologies. And building process test capability is also key role of MI engineer, which includes test vehicle design, establishing process flow and analysis methods.


Responsibilities:

  • planning and establishing a strategy for FEOL, MOL, BEOL and 3DI/HI integration technologies to enhance TEL business opportunity.
  • leading module integration projects.
  • developing new processes using TEL process tools.
  • establishing standard process flows and analysis methods for evaluations.
  • Lot management including process split, inline metrology and electrical test.
  • data analysis for process, inline metrology, electrical test and physical analysis (TEM, EDX etc).
  • reporting the results of evaluations in timely manner.
  • providing supports for test sample requests from TEL internal organizations.
  • developing new structures of test samples including discussion with requesters about test target, spec etc.
  • establishing process flows and measurements for test sample.


Typical Education and Experience:

  • U.S. work authorization is required.
  • BS in Science or Engineering with 5 years relevant semiconductor experience, MS or PHD preferred.
  • Semiconductor integration experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experiences in clean room environment.


Preferred Skills and Education:

  • Lot management skills using Siveiw MM/SM are required. Training will be provided if needed.
  • Measurement and analysis tool operation skills are required including inline CDSEM, auto electrical test prober and cross-sectional SEM. Training will be provided if needed.
  • Mask design experience would be preferred.
  • This individual must be able to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.
  • Work self-management skill is required. Teamwork and collaboration skills are also preferred.
  • Experience of project management, planning and scheduling is preferred.
  • Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentations.
  • Knowledge of experiment design (DOE) and techniques for tool and process optimization is required.
  • Problem solving skills are required.
  • Basic knowledge and skill for personal computer are required (MS Windows, MS Office, network, etc.)
  • Strong data analysis skills are needed. Experience with Excel, JMP or other statistical software is preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Conditions: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.

Salary Ranges $147,662.97 - $194,293.19 Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
