Lead Civil Engineer

Our company was established in 1991 with the purpose of offering civil engineering, construction management, and building department services to public agencies across Northern California. Over the past three decades, our projects have ranged from transportation and water to wastewater, drainage, financing assistance, and contract engineering for cities, counties, special districts, architects, universities, and governmental agencies.

Lead Civil Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Lead Civil Engineer to join our team. The responsibilities of this role include overseeing designers and engineers, as well as managing various municipal projects such as transportation and water and wastewater capital improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prior experience in providing oversight for engineers and designers.
• Adept at working collaboratively and interacting with staff, clients, and government agencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in client development and management.
• Ability to develop scopes of work and fees for proposals.
• Skillful in managing both large and small project budgets while being mindful of costs.
• Experience in capital project design and oversight.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience (at a senior level) involving design and oversight of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Registered as a civil engineer (PE) in the State of California.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Land Desktop or Civil 3D, MC Office, and Excel.
