What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting all stages of a platform's program lifecycle, from development to sustainment and modification. You'll be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure efficient and effective aircraft production. We're seeking a detail-oriented and organized candidate with demonstrated technical proficiency and capability. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for successful collaboration across various departments within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing plans and concepts.
  • Support full-rate production standup and post-delivery sustainment activities.
  • Collaborate with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, and other disciplines.
  • Implement corrective actions, processes, and procedures.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working closely with operators.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, and a strong work ethic.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years experience in absence of a bachelors Degree
  • Experience interpreting Engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturability
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

  • STEM Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous manufacturing/operations experience (2 to 5
  • years)
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling
  • Demonstrated experience or desire to be in an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in ‘hands-on’ applications of engineering and manufacturing principles
  • Experience working process improvement and corrective action efforts
  • Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
