Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Systems/Electrical Engineer with an Active Secret Clearance. Work will be 100% onsite in the King George/Dahlgren area supporting our Department of Defense (DoD) customer. No remote work or hybrid schedule.

As part of a highly talented, motivated and high performing team, you will support an exciting program which involves technical and engineering stages of systems development, testing, integration, fielding, quality assurance (QA), certification, and maintenance. Other duties supporting this effort include providing business operational, technical writing, documentation, communications, network engineering, hardware design and integration, information assurance (IA), system interoperability support and system administration. What you will do:

  • Provide technical support for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) meetings, working groups, peer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and periodic system status coordination meetings.
  • Provide system engineering support for the review of open issues including preparing material for discussion, actively participating in reviews, generating review reports highlighting potential problems and resolutions, issue/comment resolution, and tracking resolutions through to final approval.
  • Provide systems engineering support for the development of requirements for currently undefined emerging technology requirements and for the continuous evaluation and refinement of new and existing system-level requirements.
  • Analyze and evaluate emergent problems, perform yield analysis, updates, and enhancements to determine the impact on the combat and weapon system.
  • Mitigate interface changes to include: new and emergent technologies. Participate in technology refresh planning while maintaining all relevant documentation.
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing the Teradyne S9100 Test System.
  • Responsible for creating Test Program Sets (TPS), completing TPS certifications, and implementing the test changes.
  • Design and build Interface Test Assemblies (ITAs).
  • Interacting with gov't senior leadership as well as other individuals across organizations.
  • Any others tasks assigned by the gov't. customer.
Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or Engineering degree with relevant experience, 3 years with MS/MA , 0 years with PhD
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment
  • Be a quick self-starter and have a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient with electrical measurement equipment, analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience reviewing and developing hardware/software system interface documents or interface control documents
  • Proficient in reading, creating, and maintaining technical drawings and schematics
  • Proficient in C or C++ Microsoft visual studio environment
  • Effective/strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently and with others, across multiple organizations, to meet established goals within schedule-driven timeline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience working with the DoD customer is a huge plus Target Salary Range
