Municipal Project Engineer / Civil or Environmental Engineer

We are seeking a City Infrastructure Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our team in Madison, WI. As a valuable member of our team, you will contribute to a range of projects, tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. With time, you will progress to overseeing projects from start to finish, including design and construction.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs for various municipal infrastructure projects, including transportation, storm water management, green infrastructure, sanitary sewer, and water main systems
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, project managers, municipal officials, contractors, and the public to ensure project success
• Prepare permit applications at the Federal, State, and local levels
• Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and clients
• Depending on experience and workload, potential involvement in site development, agricultural, and natural resources projects

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Passionate about working in municipal engineering and thriving in a collaborative team environment
• Capable of working independently, meeting deadlines, and leading project components
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering (or a related field of study)
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred but not required)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients and contractors
