Job Requirements


Naval Architect position requires 5+ years of experience.

A Naval Architect develops designs of marine vessels and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, etc. and performs calculations necessary to assist in the design and fabrication of such vessels.


The ideal candidate must possess a B.S. degree in Naval Architecture with knowledge in vessel design development, vessel arrangements, piping system design, machinery selection, machinery design, and design integration for marine vessels such as oceangoing vessels, patrol vessels, offshore support vessels, research vessels, tugs, and barges. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must in addition to familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO and other applicable regulations. Experience with AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Solidworks, Inventor, FEA-Nastran/Ansys/Solidworks/Maestro, GHS, Maxsurf, SHCP, NavCad, Seakeeper, Visual SMP software is a plus. The ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced environment is imperative. They should be willing to travel occasionally.
