Plant Engineer

Description:


A large chemical manufacturing and packaging company, is located in Chicago. They specifically specialize in powdered laundry detergents, but also have some business in liquids. They are looking for a Plant Engineer. This person will be offloading work from the current GM, namely managing Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations. Will be involved in QA and Safety projects too.

This person's main responsibility will be to "keep the plant running", and to continually support the efforts to solve any problems, and improve plant processes.


Skills:

Bachelors, Degree, "Chemical Engineering", "Mechanical Engineering", BSME, ChemE, Chemical, Food, Process, Equipment, Engineering


Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, ideally in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience is the target, (they do not want someone who has had a long tenure of 5+ years as an operations manager.)
  • Experience managing plant operations, engineering, and maintenance.
