Process Engineer

Remote (Myrtle Point, OR)

BASIC FUNCTION:

Design process layout, commissioning new projects, support of plants for modification and small projects. Assist plants when process problems and process audits.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design process layout according to company standards.
  • Support Engineering department for equipment specification.
  • Support Procurement for supplier selection.
  • Process commissioning in coordination with Engineering and Project Management.
  • Pilot plant process and R&D tests.
  • Support plants for production tests and optimization.
  • Support Process Competence Center and Machine Technology.
  • Provide Competence Centers support.
  • Keep updated on innovation and novelties in the process field.
  • Be in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a project or process engineering role, preferably at a mineral, or bulk material processing industry.

In depth knowledge of both wet and dry processes, including quarrying, crushing, hauling, grinding, classification, conveying, packaging, storage and shipping.

Strong working knowledge across all engineering fields with emphasis on mechanical and electrical.

Ability to travel up to 40-60% (domestic and international) and occasionally for extended periods.
