Project Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction

Our client, a large well-established heavy civil contractor, seeks a candidate capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented; have above average interpersonal skills and have excellent follow-through capability. Support Project Managers on multiple projects in all aspects of the underground pipeline construction process - from estimating the project to managing the project.

Position Expectations:

• Prepare quantity takeoffs
• Solicit material & subcontractor price quotes
• Prepare & maintain Project Book
• Prepare and log all material submittals & RFI's
• Assist in Project correspondence
• Document and prepare change orders and change order requests
• Prepare and update Project schedule
• Assist in monitoring job budget vs. actual variances
• Interact directly with Project Superintendents in the field

Minimum Prerequisites:

• Four (4) years of heavy civil construction experience
• Civil Engineering or Construction Degree
• Microsoft Office
• project management and scheduling software application experience
