About the Team The Bose Consumer Product Development team is looking for a RF Engineer to join our team developing wireless solutions for our next generation products, including wearables and network speakers. You will be a key member of our cross functional team, working closely with internal Bose engineering colleagues and external partners to successfully develop and deliver fantastic products into the consumer marketplace. About the Job As a RF Engineer in the consumer electronics group, you will develop, debug, and verify wireless features in Bose products, confirming that those features perform at a level that meets Bose's standards for high quality wireless equipment in Bluetooth, Wi-fi, and other wireless technologies. About the Job As a RF Engineer in the consumer electronics group, you will develop, debug, and verify wireless features in Bose products, confirming that those features perform at a level that meets Bose's standards for high quality wireless equipment in Bluetooth, Wi-fi, and other wireless technologies. Our group supports developing products from concept to production, with work including:
- Architecture of RF sub-systems with multiple co-existent radio transceivers
- Evaluation of RF subsystems performance: antenna frequency response and 3D patterns, radio sensitivity, interference response, link performance, variance across environmental extremes
- Design, simulation, and evaluation of antennas in small form-factor wearable devices
- Working with suppliers to integrate next-generation solutions into our products
- Evaluation of regulatory validation test results, resolution of issues
- Supporting manufacturing and test to ensure consistent performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years product design and analysis experience
- Track record of design of complex RF systems from concept to production
- Experience with RF lab equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Experience with WiFi, Bluetooth, and other consumer wireless protocols
- Experience with WAN network systems
- Experience with wireless system fundamentals and techniques used to analyze coexistence between a variety of wireless systems occupying the same band
- High speed/RF simulation: (CST, ADS, or HFSS)
- High speed design experience is a plus, including HDMI, memory, USB, digital audio, digital video etc.
- Electronics CAD (Cadence tools beneficial)
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of a complete wireless product development lifecycle, from concept through mass production
