The Sensor System Engineering team is responsible for design, development and test of reference sensors for NVIDIA products and platforms. We are seeking a Sensor System Engineer to derive sensor system requirements in engagements with field and technology teams for groundbreaking applications such as Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with system design and perception teams to understand product features and craft sensor system requirements. Discuss different functional tradeoffs of upstream requests to distill key requirements applicable to each generation.
  • Use simulation tools to generate illustrations showcasing differences between different sensor constellation options. Actively discuss feedback with cross function teams to reach design decision.
  • Capture requirements into our requirement tools and adequately attach them with appropriate quality goals for each product configuration. Assign use cases to target sensor heads within constellation.
  • Develop tools and scripts to analyze impact of changes in integration. Conduct analyses, and actively contribute to team technical studies.
  • Engage with OEMs to explain NVIDIA design methodology and align on requirements for the sensor system.

What We Need to See:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Optical Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ Relevant years in sensor systems engineering
  • Familiarity with Requirement Engineering tool (JAMA, DOORs, ..)
  • Proficient with scripting languages such as Python in Windows and Linux environment.
  • Experience using 3D software for simulation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a multifaceted work environment.
  • Fast learning and good debugging skills.

The base salary range is 128,000 USD - 247,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
