Job Duties:

  • Support the Customer Support Manager/Director on Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)-related aftermarket technical activities.
  • Provide answers to customer's technical requests (troubleshooting and technical solutions based on accepted practices) and follow up on products performance dashboards.
  • Work closely with aircraft manufacturers and operators on product technical evolution and improvements.
  • Monitor product development and field issues; report and launch technical resolution of in-services issues with Program Management and Engineering.
  • Train operators and aircraft manufacturers' personnel on Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) functionalities and operations.

This position requires a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in engineering in the aerospace industry. Two years of stated experience must include interfacing with customers on their support needs. Stated experience must also include: working effectively with internal and external customers and across functions; structure of and usage of technical and maintenance documents; recommending product improvements and modifications of associated APU components; experience with economics, performance characteristics and specifications of the products for which APU engines are designed; understanding the maintenance cost and installation consideration of the products and their impact on the performance of the products in service; experience with basic concepts of contracts management and procurement; and basic principles of the logistics flows internal and external to the company and process improvements.
