Staff Engineer

Our client in Robinson is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Roadway/Highway Division

Duties:

• Develop the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements under the supervision of the Engineering Design Manager.
• Typical products include roadway design drawings, pavement marking and signing plans, stormwater plans, pavement design, Highway Occupancy Permit plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner, on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with coordination of drainage design activities on highway and bridge construction projects to include: technical planning, design and construction support for hydrologic and hydraulic models, erosion control, storm water abatement and green infrastructure.
• Perform field investigations and assessments of project sites.
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction and construction review as needed.

Requirements:

• Min. 2 years of roadway design experience
• Engineer-in-Training Certification, PE preferred
• Basic ability to use MicroStation
• Demonstrate competent use of Microsoft Office products
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Prior experience with PennDOT drawing submittals a plus
• Positive attitude and good work ethic
